This is officially the first post of the photo challenge referenced in the previous post.
I saw a shelf filled with books titled Agricultural Decisions on the first floor of the library today when I was reading some Chaucer for class. I almost exclusively study at this table and have never noticed the wall of green that these books create. Being conscious of the photo challenge and always taking a liking to the color green, I felt this would be a good, simple entrance into the challenge. (Also I should have noted that this challenge was taken from photochallenge.org) Anyways, thinking about the photo a bit more and the word “agricultural” in a much broader sense, I came across these other potential links to the meaning of this photo. Here goes:
I am attempting to cultivate this new blog into something more productive. I am also hoping to cultivate my own photography skills and eye as a photographer through this challenge. From these last two reflections, I have become aware of the cultivating effect this will have on how I think about words and associations with words. So, I am attempting through my decision to begin a photo challenge to cultivate my blog, my photography, and, maybe unintentionally, my thoughts on words.
And then there is that “nos.” I am not sure what to do with that.
